I.POSITION CB STRUCTURES SUPERINTENDENT (for WEST COAST of FLORIDA) Summary: To provide on-site coordination for all phases of the projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring that the Contract Documents are being strictly followed and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
He/she shall be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control and job site safety.
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities of Superintendent:
-Schedule subcontractors, consultants and vendors to ensure timely completion
-Review labor reports weekly and adjust labor accordingly to meet budgets.
-Review concrete and rebar logs weekly to confirm quantities are meeting the budgets.
-Review equipment logs to confirm the correct equipment is on site and when finished, document returns with pictures and inventory lists.
-Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed
-Communicate with Project Team with concerns arising from ASI’s, RFI’s, Field Directives, Change Orders, Submittals or any other method of revision / clarification to the Contract Documents
-Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work
-Coordinate required inspections with general contractor or local jurisdictions
-Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health and environmental quality standards
-Maintain daily log (written) of activities on the jobsite
-Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies indentified by Project Team
-Coordinate with Project Manager any LEAN techniques to be implemented on the Project including Site Logistics, pull Scheduling and delivery Schedules
-Ensure that the job-site is always kept in a clean and organized manner
-Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion
-Ensure all safety procedures are being implemented such as leading-edge safety, controlled access zones, PPE, etc.
-Make sure all safety stand downs are being conducted as well as the daily hazard analysis sheets reviewed Secondary Functions:
-Assist in award of subcontractors
-Review project material submittals and maintain records of approvals at the job-site
-Identify areas of work that are outside of subcontracted scope
-Preside at pre-construction meeting with each subcontractor
-Opening the job-site at beginning of the day and securing job-site at the end of the day
-Assist in hiring employees II.REQUIERED QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
-High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree on construction or related filed is preferred
-Minimum of 3 years of Construction experience
-Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with good working knowledge of construction scheduling practices
-Must demonstrate ability to use computers for typing, e-mails and accessing information through Project Management software III.COMPETENCIES

-The Superintendent shall supervise all subcontractors, consultants and vendors on a daily basis.
This supervision shall ensure adequate manpower is available for each task and compliant work performed.
Superintendent shall supervise all Assistant Superintendents.
-While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently inspect the project and may be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions.
The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud.
