We are working alongside our esteemed client based in Corby who have a new opportunity for a PR Co-ordinator to cover a period of maternity leave for up to 12 months. This role will work alongside the Marketing and Communications team to increase the brand awareness of the company via print and on-line PR. Working with internal and external stakeholders to engage them in activity that will generate consumer PR. 
The Role
· Source, organise & manage day-to-day media opportunities to grow the company PR coverage
· Build media relations - local, regional and national in print and on-line
· Write press releases and features as required
· Advise on press releases and activity as required
· Project manage and implement the annual competitions, ensuring a detailed plan is in place and it is executed in a timely manner.
· Visit and interview service users -identifying topical and appropriate angles for the media
· Provide support at the Annual Convention
· Support the internal team to deliver the Annual Convention
· Plan and manage photo shoots - source a location for the magazine shoots, plan and attend the regular London photo shoots, engage appropriate consumers, brief photographers, stylists and make-up artists and work with internal teams to maximise the opportunity
· Support the development of the company blog - plan, write and implement content with the team
· Edit and project manage the bi-annual consumer magazine
· Collate and analyse media coverage and report internally
· Attend external events which require PR engagement as required.
· Establish and maintain a database of stories
· Manage relevant agencies - clippings company and Response Source
· Monitor and report on budgets for magazine, projects, blog and PR photo shoots
· Offer tasks as assigned by the PR & Events Manager 
The Candidate  
Essential skills and experience:
· At least three year's experience working in a consumer PR environment - preferably client side
· Experience of demonstrating the ability to form relationships and engage with key journalists
· Ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders internally and externally
· Excellent written communication skills - for press releases, consumer magazine and blog
· Structured and disciplined approach
· Ability to work under pressure, prioritise effectively and meet tight deadlines
· Driving licence and use of a car 
Desirable skills and experience
· Direct sales experience
· Amateur photography and video skills
