Aspire Cambridge are recruiting for a New Business Sales Representative on behalf of our client based in Baldock, Hertfordshire.

Work in small, fast-paced team environment to identify and acquire new business from international markets, re- engage lapsed customers and take part in other business generating campaigns, in order to meet the budgeted sales, revenue and product targets agreed with Head of Sales for the company.

Primary Duties and responsibilities: With responsibility for selling the full range of products, the primary duties and responsibilities include: Research and identify new potential clients from within the company databases and other online searches, identifying key players and generating interest Increasing the number of active UK and international customers.

Sourcing new sales opportunities through outbound and inbound lead generation activities, including cold calling and emails.

Following-up on outbound cold calls, sales leads and emails Understanding potential customer needs and requirements Prepare accurate, effective sales quotations, marketing communications and sales correspondence Where required, routing qualified opportunities to other members of the sales team for further development and closure, ensuring accurate and detailed customer sales handover information.

Maintain and expand the database of prospects Work with channel partners to build a pipeline and close deals Perform effective online demos to prospects Meet all activity, customer acquisition and revenue targets as agreed with the Head of Sales.

Update and maintain your daily activities within the company systems (CRM, Excel spreadsheets, databases etc.) Qualifications / Role requirements: Minimum - GCSE level C or above including Math and English Language.

Additional - A nationally recognised sales qualification or equivalent o NVQ Proven inside sales experience of at least two years in a B2B sales role, ideally selling technical / physical goods on behalf of a manufacturing organisation to international clients Other languages in addition to English would be advantageous Personal Attributes and skills: Track record of over-achieving quota Strong phone presence and experience dialling dozens of calls per day Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools Experience working with Sage CRM or similar CRM Excellent verbal and written communications skills Strong listening and presentation skills Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively You must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day, working with channel partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects and closing sales.

Ability to deal with people in a friendly and professional manner Positively influence and persuade key decision makers.

Well-presented and personable.

Excellent interpersonal skills, especially questioning and listening.

Ability to interact with clients on a technical level.

Flexible and adaptable - able to cope with changing requirements and situations.

Able to travel domestically and internationally at short notice if required.

Able to follow processes and procedures reliably.

Has the ability to suggest / make improvements to processes and procedures.

Willing to learn / develop their skills.
