Summary and Main Purpose: The role of the Employability Tutor is to teach, guide and support the development and progression of participants on Remits Employability Programmes across the UK.
To support the delivery of the required curriculum within a classroom setting, delivering effective and engaging training via a blended learning approach.
Key Accountabilities: · Engage and deliver a set of Employability Programmes to learners aged 19 · Using your creativity and personality to achieve maximum achievement of all qualifications and retain learners to complete the course · Support the design and enhancement of Employability subjects to fulfil the learner’s engagement onto the Programme · Embed functional skills within the Employability programmes · Mark and assess learner portfolios and provide feedback to learners · Work with the learner and engagement team members to support learners interview preparation · Work to set targets around the Employability delivery schedule to ensure all cohorts are full and managed appropriately · Responsible for the induction of the Programme and support with learner sign ups · Ensure eligibility is checked and all learners have the appropriate ID requirements.
· Performance against key measures delivered consistently.
· Provide information, advice and guidance throughout the learner’s qualification.
· Provide learners with all the relevant policies and regulations to clarify what is expected of them and to ensure their safety in the classroom · Monitor learner’s welfare and health and safety in the workplace upskilling learner’s knowledge regarding Safeguarding, British Values, Prevent and Equality & Diversity · Consistently demonstrate our Remit Cultural and Brand Values · Contribute to the sharing of good practice and support continuous improvement throughout thecompany · To contribute to the smooth delivery of Remit’s programmes and services · Understand Remit and client culture and values and work in line with these always Qualifications: Essential: Good standard of general education including 5 GCSEs – English and Maths at grade C or above or equivalent Occupational competence in Hospitality, Customer Service and or Retail Experience: Proven track record of consistently exceeding targets and KPIs Experience of using IT programmes competently Experience of working to strict deadlines and in a responsive environment Skills and Knowledge: Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organisational skills Sales and business development skills Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload Desirable: Understanding of Government funded training Understanding of Employability Programmes Personal Qualities and Attributes: Be personally energetic, dynamic, positive and enthusiastic Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Conscientious, assertive and self-disciplined Desire to succeed and adaptable to change Ability to work in a team and independently Ability to work flexible hours and locations Professional and presentable Clean driving licence and access to a car A strategic and commercial attitude A creative, lateral thinker and energetic team player with a high level of enthusiasm Ability to prioritise and work under pressure with good time management Overnight stays will be required to compete delivery of the course Remit Group is a Gold Investors in People employer with the Additional Health and Wellbeing award.
