Leading reputable Facilities Management / Utilities company seeking Finance Assistant with 1 years previous experience in Purchase Ledger. Role would suit someone who enjoys working within AP and see's themselves staying within this area of the next few years. Reliable, thorough person who enjoys working within a busy working environment. £18,000 - £21,000. Located Bristol City Centre.
Client Details
My client are a growing, leading Facilities Management company based in Bristol City centre, easily accessible from the M5 if you're driving. They offer a brand new open plan office with a dynamic busy environment, 23 days holiday + bank holidays and excellent career progression for the Finance Assistant.
Key responsibilities of the Finance Assistant:
Process invoices, ensuring appropriate approval is in place in respect of current processes
Process weekly payment runs and Ad-hoc payment requests, ensuring validity of requests and payment details (Multi currency)
Investigate Debit balances, unpaid invoices and unallocated payments on the AP ledgers
Query resolution regarding invoices, payments and purchase orders
Regularly review the email inbox to ensure appropriate actions have been taken
Ensure that statement reconciliations have been done for major accounts
Ensure that business critical payments are authorised and paid in line with any agreements
Assist in month end reporting and VAT classification checking.
Other ad-hoc tasks as maybe required from time to time
The successful candidate:
Min 1 year experience in a busy Purchase Ledger/Accounts Payable Department with particular attention to supplier statement reconciliations
Proficient in the use of Excel to intermediate level (Pivot tables and Vlookup)
Excellent attention to detail
Good communication skills
Able to work as part of a team
Good time management skills
