Recruitment Consultant

Purpose of the role:
You will be responsible for the recruitment of workers primarily within Northamptonshire County Council and offer support to other contracts. ensuring that a high level of customer service is delivered at all times, your role will be:
Promote the 'Opus way'
Drive the direct source model
Work closely with our clients and supply chain to ensure their needs are met
Encourage new ways of attracting candidates direct

Recruitment Consultant - colleagues within Opus People Solutions
Clients - internal and external
Suppliers - recruitment agencies
Current workers

Duties and responsibilities:
Develop a good understanding and knowledge of departments within Northampton County Council
Meeting with clients to build and develop relationships
Identifying and approaching candidates who would be suitable for positions
Resourcing candidates for live jobs - to include database and job site searches,
On-going generation of direct source candidates by advertising, mail-shots, referrals and events
Offer support and advice to both clients and candidates on pay rates
Overall maintenance of candidate database ensuring all information is entered and updated on a regular basis
Job Description & Personal Specification
Managing expectations of clients and candidates, with regular updates of the recruitment process
Contact previously identified candidates to check availability for specific assignments
Arranging candidate interviews with clients, issuing confirmation emails
Writing effective job adverts and using various methods of advertising on relevant sites (including social media)
Achievement of agreed KPI's and targets
Supporting payroll and invoicing functions
Liaising with external suppliers to source specialist candidates when required
Create a culture which replicates the Opus values
Offer system support and training to clients and workers
Ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance in service delivery this includes but is not limited to; references, DBS, right to work and governing body confirmation
To maintain key relationships with the extended supply chain. This will include performance managing to ensure we are getting the best service and resolving issues to ensure the end client service is not affected

Build knowledge and understanding of the Care and Social Work industry
Person specification:
Experienced recruitment professional with strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
Professional recruitment qualification (REC Level 3 or CIPD qualified or equivalent) or equivalent experience
Work effectively under pressure by managing own workload and covering colleagues work in absence
Be organised and can re-prioritise as the business requirements
Have experience of working successfully with Directors and Senior Managers
Customer focused - strive to deliver a service that provides great outcomes for the customer
Proficient in Microsoft Office and the use and development of operational recruitment software
Can travel between client sites if necessary - due to the location of these clients you must be able to drive as public transport is limited
Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbally) with the ability to influence and support decision making
Attention to detail
Have the confidence to challenge peers professionally when required
Strong team player
Believe in and deliver the Opus values
