The Shared Services team is made up of information technology, human resources, indirect sourcing, finance & accounting professionals that support all business units. Shared services teams are headquartered in Middleton, Wisconsin but have members across the country.



Job Summary



The Web Technology Intern will develop, implement, and maintain web-based content management initiatives and web-based application deployment. Assist with the analysis, development and implementations of processes related to e-commerce and enhance the company's web presence. This intern will work in our World Headquarters under the direction of the Web Solutions Lead and be challenged with real world projects and assignments as well as providing day-to-day support to various members of our development team.



Primary Duties & Responsibilities

- Responsible for web development and integration into Spectrum Brand's external and internal web sites

- Transform and implement design concepts into a production environment using C#, , HTML, Javascript, CSS and Angular in a Windows Server environment.

- Provide support for programming HTML pages, Content Management Templating and Content Management System design.

- Develop, test and debug programs and maintain simple to moderately complex web-based interactive programs.

- Create and/or modify program documentation.

- Complete program specifications and develop / implement programs with limited supervision.

- Troubleshoot, maintain, and recommend solutions for assigned Trouble Tickets.



Education and Experience Profile

- Currently pursuing a B.S. degree related to Information Systems

- Minimum 0-1 years of experience delivering results using modern web development technologies such as C#, , JavaScript, CSS, HTML.

- Experience developing solutions to business problems while remaining abreast on new and emerging technology is required.

- Must be able to effectively balance time resources to perform simultaneous work on multiple projects and/or tasks.

- Knowledge and experience with content management systems and tools.



Required Skills

- Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle concepts and processes

- Technical proficiency in , C#, VB, HTML, JavaScript, XML/JSON, SQL, NoSQL.

- Familiarity with Webservices SOAP and REST

- Experience with SQL Server 2008 / 2012

- Understanding of web browser troubleshooting in Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc.

- Ability to research and develop solutions for issues and use of effective work estimation techniques.

- Ability to work with various people in different sections of the organization - business users, I.S. personnel, vendors - effectively.

- Ability to write test plans, perform testing, and debug and resolve defects

- Ability to work in Agile / Scrum team

- Ability to translate functional/technical specification into technical solutions
