Country Doctor Community Health Centers (CDCHC), is a not for profit organization that operates two primary care clinics, After-Hours Clinic, a school-based health center, and a Dental clinic. Our Carolyn Downs Family Medical Center was founded by the Seattle Black Panther Party more than 50 years ago in Seattle's Central District Area, and our Country Doctor Community Clinic was established in 1971 by the residents of the Capitol Hill community to provide affordable and comprehensive primary health care services. Our founding principles of social justice live on today. We care for patients from around the region and the world, of all ages, gender identities, and abilities, including people with and without health insurance. Our staff work with a multi-disciplinary team of dedicated and dynamic individuals who share our commitment to health equity.



Country Doctor Community Clinic (CDCC) is hiring a passionate and mission-driven LEAD OBOT -RN that will continue the work of social justice and health equity in the Capitol Hill Community.



Position Summary:



The LEAD OBOT Nurse works within a multi-disciplinary health care team, supporting the OBOT program and clinic goals of quality care and patient satisfaction to ensure that we continuously provide high-quality care to an ethnically diverse patient population.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

Patient appointments, Inductions, transfer intakes, restarts and follow ups, many as nurse to provider conversion where RN is responsible for majority of charting and appt.

Facilitate and document urine drug screens, pregnancy screens, prescription monitoring program (PMP) reports, DSM5 Opioid Use Disorder criteria, substance use history, mental health screenings, primary care health concerns, hepatitis and HIV testing status, wound care, release of information and OBOT program treatment agreement

Patient education, including Opioid Use Disorder medication options, induction instructions, dosing and side effects, safer use strategies and opioid overdose/naloxone

Conducting triage/assessment,

Assisting providers with certain routine and complex patient care,

Performing patient case management and patient education

Education/Training/Experience:

Experience with Opioid Use Disorder medications buprenorphine and naltrexone

State RN license required

Two years of clinic nursing and triage experience required

Willing to complete training to develop expertise in Office-Based Opioid Treatment

Comfort with harm reduction, motivational interviewing and trauma-informed philosophies of patient-centered care

Experience working with an electronic health record- EPIC preferred

Case management experience preferred

Experience in a multi-cultural environment providing care to the medically underserved population

Strong interpersonal and effective problem solve skills

Computer proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel, and various computer software programs and electronic health records



Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication

Ability to interact and work well with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds

Treat staff and patients in accordance with the mission and philosophy of the clinic

Independent work style with the ability to also work collaboratively

Ability to multi-task, flexible, organized

Function in highly stressful situations and prioritize effectively with numerous competing priorities



Salary: $37,637.60 - $50,325.60 based on experience; this is an exempt, part-time -20 Hrs. position. (Monday - Friday)



Benefits:

Benefits include the choice of three medical plans (2 PPO and 1 HMO), Medical benefits are covered at 100% for employees, and 75% for dependent children, two dental plans, short-term and long-term disability insurance programs, as well as life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage. Also, employees have access to flexible spending accounts, subsidizes up to 50 % of the cost of an ORCA pass, and a generous safe harbor 401K plan with a 3 % base employer contribution plus an additional 2% discretionary match, depending on the amount employee contributes.
