Licensing Assistant



The Licensing Assistant provides reception and other licensing services to

applicants, licensees, Agency staff, and other external customers under

supervision of the Business and Licensing Services Manager. In this role, you

will respond to customer inquiries relating to technical and complex eLicense

issues, as well as, researches and answers licensing process and status

questions as they related to the real estate licensing laws and rules. You will

serve as the Agency s Receptionist and answers all incoming phone calls, an

will perform additional administrative duties as necessary to support the team.

You will work with a great group of collaborative, fun-loving people who are

position is with the Oregon Real Estate Agency (REA) located in Salem.

A collaborative teammate and motivated self-starter with at least three years

of clerical/secretarial experience which included:

* Two years at a full performance level performing typing, word processing,

or other generation of documents and

* Lead work responsibility or coordination of office procedures


* Demonstrated skill and experience explaining Oregon Administrative Rules,

Chapter 863 and Oregon Revised Statute, Chapter 696

* Strong technical skill to and experience with assisting licensees and or

the public with the eLicense system

* Demonstrated ability to assist licensees, applicants, and members of the

public with navigating the Oregon Real Estate Agency website, Oregon Real

Estate Agency resources, and eLicense

* Current temporary or permenant employees of the Oregon Real Estate Agency

The most qualified candidates will also possess the following skills and areas

of professional work experience:

* Experience answering routine inquiries for information about real estate

licensing, certification or other application oriented programs and/or

services provided by a state agency

* Experience communicating and/or explaining decisions regarding the

approval or denial of an application and experience resolving problems

relative to requirements for obtaining or changing various licenses

issued by a state agency

* Ability to research and analyze information

* Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

Please Note : Courses or training in Office Occupations or Office Technology

may be substituted for up to one year of the clerical/secretarial experience.

No substitution will be made for the two years at the full performance level.
