If so, Supply Desk has a great opportunity for a SEN TA for a lovely special needs school close to Nursling in Southampton. The role will be full time and will be a temporary to permanent arrangement where you would work through Supply Desk for an agreed period before transferring over to the schools staffing team. The school are looking to recruit at the end of September with a week handover before starting. The schools Headteacher is looking for someone that has experience with complex needs such as health and cognition. You will have some manual handling, first aid training and ideally a background in caring or in a similar role. You will also need to have at least a GCSE in Maths, English and Computing. You will be a friendly, supportive and caring person that works well in a team.
About the School:
The school caters for children from 2 - 16 years with complex Special Educational Needs and Physical Difficulties(SEND) that result in the need for a different approach to their education. As such the school ensures the learning activities are enriching, relevant, multi-sensory and concrete so that learning is secure and can be applied in a range of circumstances and contexts. the school currently has around 70 pupils at the school and is a small and intimate environment that focuses on caring for all the students.
