£23,460 increasing to £24,460 on probation + 25 Days Holiday + Pension + Expenses + Flexible Benefits

We are now seeking to recruit a number of talented and motivated individuals to join us as Independent End Point Assessors with occupational competence in:

* Retailer Level 2

* Retail Team Leader Level 3

* Retail Manager Level 4

* Supply chain warehouse operative Level 2

Reporting initially to the Assessment Operations and Delivery Manager, and ultimately to a Regional Assessment Manager, this position offers the right person the opportunity to be an integral part of the Delivery and Operations team delivering End Point Assessment for our clients. This key position involves ensuring all internal and external assessment processes and EPA activity is delivered.

The IEA will:

* Assess, gather evidence, document findings, grade learners in the workplace against both the apprenticeship standard and assessment plan for each respective occupation and complete and submit all assessment documentation timely, in line with Babcock Assessments delivery and quality assurance requirements

* Manage own diary effectively to ensure assigned learners EPA is conducted against SLAs and Assessment Plan requirements

Drawing on your previous experience of Apprenticeship assessment and work within the retail/warehousing sector/s, you will carry out end point assessment activities in line with Babcock Assessments delivery and quality assurance requirements, providing the best possible outcomes for our EPA learners and clients.

Key Accountabilities:

Produce reports, feedback and raise any issues in line with BAL’s EPA and quality assurance processes and procedures and contribute to internal/external quality assurance requirements and activity

Maintain currency of skills and knowledge within the occupational area and provide evidence of on-going Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

Invigilation of examinations where required

Effectively respond to conflicts and deal with learner appeals in line with Babcock Assessments Appeals Procedure

Report all risks, issues and suspected malpractice encountered during end point assessment activities

Comply with Internal Quality Assurance requirements to ensure a consistent approach to end point assessment

Attend and contribute to team meetings, standardisation and best practice activities

Ensure any development/personal improvement plans are achieved within set timescale and to standard required

Adhere to local health and safety processes and procedures, including on client sites

Ensure Babcock Security, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion and Welfare & Safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times

Minimum requirements are:

Comprehensive knowledge of and experience in apprenticeship assessment practice in Retail and Warehousing occupational sectors is vital

Experience of leadership and Management skills through previous job roles (desirable)

Minimum of three years relevant industry experience up to level 4 equivalent.

A minimum of one year experience as a qualified assessor

Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to articulate feedback concisely

Self-motivated and possess a flexible approach with apprentices and employers

Excellent observation, questioning, analytical and listening skills

Commitment to CPD activity for both industry and assessor

Ability to make sound evidence based judgements according to grading criteria which are accurate, honest, credible and fair

Ability to lead meetings, structured interviews and discussions

Ability to work in and adapt to a changing environment

Ability to aggregate information and write succinct reports

Ability to demonstrate to date industry skills and knowledge to include relative legislation knowledge (as dictated by the Retail and Warehousing Assessment Plans)

A willingness to travel within their designated region and out of region when required to do so

Demonstrate a high level of organisational skills and maintain confidentiality and professionalism

L2 Maths Functional Skills (or equivalent)

L2 English Functional Skills (or equivalent)

L2 ICT Functional Skills (or equivalent)

IT literate in Word, Excel, MS Outlook and video conferencing software e.g. WebEx

Salary & Benefits

A starting salary of £23,460 increasing to £24,460 on completion of probation

35 Hours per week (flexible working)

25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
