About this company:

We are currently recruiting for a Finance Admin Assistant. The Finance and Admin

assistant will support and assist the Office Manager, mainly with the finances of the

organisation, but also with some administrative duties as designated by the Office

Manager. Accuracy and an eye for detail are essential.

Role / Responsibilities:

Duties Include:


•Payment of invoices and expenses in accordance with procedures

•Data inputting of day to day financial transactions using Sage accounting software

•Monitoring and reporting on multiple funding streams and budgets

•To assist with quarter and year end procedures including budget reports and VAT


•Maintenance of internal financial systems

•To assist with monthly payroll routine

•To maintain an asset register


•Take referrals and deal with enquiries from the public and professionals in

accordance with procedure.

•To use organisational database (Charitylog) for recording referrals and client


•To be familiar with office routines to enable holiday / sickness cover for the Admin

and Communications worker

•To support the Senior Management Team, eg: taking meeting minutes, providing

financial information

•To assist with maintenance of personnel records

•To support with production of annual newsletter


•Use of Sage accounting and payroll packages

•Use of Client database (Charitylog)

•Use of MS Office package

•To provide immediate IT support to staff and volunteers and to facilitate access to

more specialised help when required.

Essential / Desirable experience required:

General •To maintain strict confidentiality over personal and financial data. •To have an awareness of Health and Safety procedures. •To attend and contribute to regular supervision sessions and team meetings. •To identify and agree with the Office Manager your own training and development •To share responsibility with colleagues for achieving the objectives of the Strategic/Business Plan •To undertake any other duties as shall be prescribed from time to time in conjunction with the postholder Essential Criteria: * AAT Qualified preferred * SAGE Experience preferred * Finance Experience preferred * Administration Experience essential * Must be able to get to outskirts of Scarborough * Computer Literat
