We are seeking an office-based volunteer to blog and write and undertake office duties generally for a small grassroots charity.
You will be based in SE8 in London.
Experience with writing necessary and demonstrated skill of this, either educationally, (degree in English or media etc) Or a blogger yourself would be ideal.
Please send a sample piece of writing with application.
You will be required to be computer proficient as this is an office based role.
All other areas of blogging/office duties: training can be offered.
Training surrounding what dementia is and how to understand can be offered if not familiar.
Using G-suite to correspond in-office.
Using Wordpress to write and upload blog posts from a selection of titles covering dementia.
Interviewing may be necessary, in person or via email for blog posts.
Competitions on social media may be featured and run by the candidate inc. areas of fundraising.
Professionalism required in office environment.
You will gain from this role:
Microsoft office skills, writing skills, g-suite skills, Wordpress skills, how to work in a corporate environment (the charity shares office space with a corporate firm).
Would suit someone who has studied media or journalism, or who is looking to gain experience in a social media and blogging role.
3-5 days per week for 4-6 months.
